Sharjah 24: A delegation from the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) and the Sharjah Public Works Department (SPWD) in the Central Region inspected the final construction works at the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track, and followed up on the implementation stages in the 6 km track.

Present during the inspection visit were Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, and representatives of the Sharjah Sports Council, including Engineer Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Engineer Mohammed Tariq, Engineer Ahmed Al Nuaimi, and Engineer Mohammed Ali from SPWD in the Central Region.

During the visit, Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi praised the level of cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council and the Public Works Department to enhance the process of joint work to serve camel owners and develop the sport of camel racing in the Emirate of Sharjah, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to develop the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Club, and to support the sport of camel racing to preserve the heritage of fathers and grandfathers.

Bin Howaiden confirmed that the visit was to review the level of final construction works and what was recently accomplished in 6 km track, and to inspect the control tower. During the visit, a number of topics related to development work  in the 5km and 4 km tracks, were also discussed as well as all matters related to it, including paving and lighting roads, based on direct directives from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
