Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued administrative decision No. (4) of 2024 on the formation of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA).

According to the administrative decision, the Board of Trustees of the SPAA is formed, with the presidency of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as the members of the board are as follows:

1.Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Art Foundation, as Vice President of  the SPAA. 

2. Dr. Peter Barlow, Director of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA)

3. Dr. Nadia Al Hassani, Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Sharjah.

4. Ahmed Mohammed Bou Rahimah, Director of the Theater Department at the Department of Culture.

5. Ismail Abdullah Ismail, Secretary-General of the Arab Theatre Institute .

6. Dr. Habib Ghaloum Al Attar, Cultural Advisor at the Ministry of Culture.

7. Dr. Youssef Abdullah Eidabi, Cultural Advisor at the Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre. 

8. Kassem Istanbuli, Founder of the Lebanese National Theatre.

9. Suad Abdullah, an actress and prominent figure in the Gulf and the Arab world.

The administrative decision states that the membership in the board shall be for a period of three years, renewable for similar periods upon the Ruler's decision. The membership term begins from the first meeting, and the board shall continue to carry out its duties until the formation of a new board. It is also permissible to reappoint members whose terms have ended.
