Presidential camel competition shines in Al Dhaid Square

Sharjah24: Organized and controlled by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, new and interesting events for the Laqaya were inaugurated on Saturday, under the President’s Office Badge Race for camel racing, on the grounds of Al Dhaid Camel Racing Field, The competition was attended in the presence of crowd of camel owners, trainers, and enthusiasts.
The 18-lap Laqaya competition for the camels owned by sheikhs and tribesmen was held across a 5-kilometer course.

The first positions in the race were as follows: The first half, “Al-Shahiniya”, for the presidential camel race.

The second half is “Seedah ” by Muzaffar Ghulam Musa Al-Balushi, the third half is “Shaheen” by Hajn Al-Rasiyah / Al-Mudhamar Muhammad Ateeq bin Zaytoun Al-Muhairi, the fourth half is “Miteb” by Rashid Saeed Muhammad Saeed Maroushid, the fifth half is “Haqawi” by Sheikh / Muhammad bin Dhiyab Bin Saif bin Muhammad Al Nahyan / Al-Mudhamar Al-Sadiq Fadl Al-Amin, the sixth round, “Al-Shahiniya” by Hajn Al-Rasiah / Al-Mudhamar Muhammad Atiq bin Zaitoun Al-Muhairi, the seventh round, “Battash” by Sheikh / Dhiab bin Saif Al Nahyan / Al-Mudhamar Al-Sadiq Fadl Al-Amin, the eighth round” “Shaheen” by Camels of the Presidency / Al-Mudhamar Muhammad Ateeq bin Zaitoun Al-Muhairi, the ninth half, “Mayassa” by Saeed Muhammad Salem Al-Ketbi, the tenth half, “Al-Shaybah” by Hamdan Muhammad Salem Al-Ketbi, the eleventh half, “Shaheen” by Sultan Rashid Abdullah Al-Khateri, the twelfth half. “The Clear” by Hamoud Hamad Ali Al-Omari, the thirteenth inning, “Rahaf” by Muhammad Rabie Saif Al-Mazrouei, The fourteenth round, “Turfa” by Rashid Khalfan bin Jarsh Al Ketbi, the fifteenth round, “Wahhaj” by Hamdan Muhammad Muslih Al Ahbabi, the sixteenth round, “The King” by Saeed Rashid Daghish Salem, the seventeenth round, “Raid” by Muhammad Salem bin Aish Al Qaidi, The eighteenth round, “Al-Shababiya,” by Shatit Musabah Mishar Al-Mutafij.

His Excellency Matar Ali bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, said:  Al Laqaya competitions received large participation from camel sheikhs and tribesmen from all over the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the competitions carried a lot of fun, excitement and strength.
