Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) will celebrate World Bicycle Day that has been marked annually on 3rd of June, with a celebratory tour along Al Hira Corniche in Sharjah. This event is part of the council's community sports activities aimed at promoting a sports culture as a lifestyle for all segments of society.

Around 1,000 participants of both genders will participate in the 9-kilometer route. Registration for participation can be done through the following link: (https://eevents.ae/worldbic).

Commenting on this, Ahmed Al-Salman, Acting Director of the Sports and Community Events Department at the Council, stressed the Council’s keenness to celebrate this occasion annually, highlighting that cycling is one of the most growing community sports in the world. He has further underscored the remarkable efforts of the organising committee, contributing in ensuring the sports event’s success. He urged government departments’ heads and employees to coordinate with the Council’s working team and the sports clubs. 

The tour will be held in cooperation and partnership with a number of agencies and institutions.
