Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) Race for Culture Committee held a meeting on June 21 at the Council's headquarters to announce the details of the ninth edition of the race under its new structure. The meeting was attended by members of the council and chaired by Dr. Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al Yasi, a member of the board of directors.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Yasi stated that the race fits within the Council's strategic goals because it promotes the idea of community sports, makes living with sports a way of life, highlights the significance of sports cultural activities at the level of sports institutions and the local community, and helps forge bonds between the two.

He also mentioned that the race's finish date—next September—along with an official closing ceremony to crown the champions will be unveiled during the press conference.
