Sharjah 24: The activities of the thirteenth Social Service Conference, which was held under the generous patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, were concluded at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC) Thursday.

The activities of the second day of the conference, organised by the Sharjah Social Services Department, under the theme "Partnerships that achieve protection", were devoted to training and interactive workshops for workers with the concerned protection authorities targeted by the conference that work in the field of social protection from social institutions concerned with protection, police, security, judicial and health authorities, and educational institutions from schools, educational centres and sports clubs, in addition to NGOs concerned with protection.

Eight training workshops presented influential and important titles in the field of protection, in all social, psychological, legal and rehabilitative fields.

Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Director of Knowledge Management at the SSSD, valued all the participations of institutions, departments, bodies, ministries and individuals in the two –day event, and stressed that the conference was able to bring together all the influential and specialists in the field of protection in the conference, with the hope to reach the formulation of a set of goals that contribute to upgrading the means of protection to contribute to providing a stable life for its members, in addition to emphasising the call for partnership between institutions as one hand does not clap.
