HPD continues Professional Diploma in Nutrition and Health Care

Sharjah24: The Health Promotion Department (HPD) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah resumes the Professional Diploma Programme in Nutrition and Health Care activities, launched in cooperation with the University of Sharjah in February 2022.
The programme aims to raise the level of nutritional and health awareness among participants of modern concepts of nutrition and health, develop their skills in the field of nutrition and health care, and provide them with basic concepts of nutrition and health, and principles of nutritional planning, methods of food preservation and safety.

The programme, which continues until June 28, witnessed broad participation by employees, volunteers in health support associations, and several government agency employees. Over more than three months, the programme presented several awareness lectures by a group of doctors and specialists in the fields. It focused on several health topics, most notably enhancing participants’ awareness of public health concepts, the basics of food and nutrition, preserving food and ensuring its safety, and talking about the most essential nutritional guidelines and healthy balanced food.

Eman Rashid Saif, Director of the HPD in Sharjah, expressed her happiness with the successes achieved by the professional diploma program, which is represented in the increasing number of participants in it, and their keenness to achieve the maximum benefit from this programme, noting that the administration is under the excellent care of the wife of His Highness the Ruler Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, is always working on launching innovative initiatives to continue the process of awareness and health education among members of society.

At the end of the programme, the participants will obtain a professional diploma in nutrition and health care, issued by the University of Sharjah.
