Sharjah 24: Friends of Arthritis Patients Association, of the Health Promotion Department, at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, held a coordination meeting with the supporting bodies and participants in the eleventh Saharjah Marathon to discuss the provision of entertainment platforms, medical examination, and free consultations, with the aim of raising community awareness of arthritis.

The meeting will discuss the paths that the marathon will take and registration channels, to provide the opportunity for the largest number of community members to participate and achieve the desired benefit. 

The possibility of including new categories will also be presented in the meeting to bridge the gap between patients and specialists, to benefit from their opinion and consultation, in addition to organising many activities and entertainment events that attract all segments of society to interact with this exceptional sports and health event, in addition to discussing the statistics of previous marathons and discussing promotional plans.

Many parties are participating in the meeting, including the Department of Social Services, Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, the University of Sharjah, Al Qasimia University, Sharjah City Municipality, the Department of Economic Development, and other parties.
