Sharjah 24: Waheeda Abdelaziz, Head of the Friends of Arthritis Patients in Sharjah, confirmed that the number of participants in the 10th Charity Marathon exceeded 5,000, and more than 300 volunteers from the Red Crescent, Sharjah Volunteering Centre and other teams.

The 10th Charity Marathon organised by the Friends of Arthritis Patients of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah was launched on Sunday evening in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Sharjah Police, and the Sharjah Sports Council under the theme "Physical Activity is Life."

According to Waheeda Abdelaziz, Head of the Friends of Arthritis Patients in Sharjah, the charity marathon is a key event that the association annually organises to fulfill the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The initiative aims to encourage the community to engage in sports and to raise awareness about arthritis risks and prevention through creative initiatives.

Over 5,000 participants and 300 volunteers from Red Crescent, Sharjah Volunteer Centre, and other teams joined the 10th edition.
