Sharjah24: The AFC Champions League group stage draw, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday morning, placed Sharjah in Group B alongside Al-Sadd (Qatar), Nasaf (Uzbekistan), and Al-Faisaly (Jordan). The tournament matches will start in September, featuring a home-and-away format.

After the draw ceremony concluded, Ahmed Mubarak Al-Junaibi, the manager of the Sharjah team, shared his thoughts about their group, stating: "I see our group as well-balanced, with all four teams having an equal shot at advancing. In Sharjah, we have the privilege of having a globally accomplished coach, Cosmin Olaroiu from Romania, who excels in managing matches, particularly under high-pressure situations and the home-and-away arrangement. We have great confidence in his expertise gained from leading the team in this tournament."

Al-Junaibi further remarked, "During the AFC Champions League group stage, there's no such thing as an easy or tough group. Everyone will handle all circumstances and gear up to compete against all participating teams. Ultimately, this championship crowns a sole victor." He reassured the team's readiness for the group stage matches that will adhere to the home-and-away framework.

Mubarak concluded his statement with his wish that his team demonstrates an admirable performance and serves as an excellent ambassador for UAE football in the tournament, in tandem with their counterparts from Al Ain.
