Sharjah24: The 7th annual edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival officially opened its doors to the public today (Thursday), bringing cultural enthusiasts in the UAE and beyond yet another exciting opportunity to delve into the creative worlds imagined and captured by more than 100 leading photographers from around the world.

Eager visitors, who walked in early on the inaugural day, have praised its thought-provoking exhibitions. Many have been particularly impressed by the variety of styles and themes in photography the festival has curated in the 68 group and solo exhibitions on display. 

Vanessa Dela Anyadi-Odzawo from Ghana, who is attending the festival for the first time, said, “I really love how organised everything is and how each booth has been designed to complement the photographer’s works on display and their artistic style. Everybody has been so friendly and welcoming here, I’m really impressed by Xposure.”  

A Sharjah-based landscape photographer, Ali Fandi from Syria, also on his debut visit to Xposure noted, “As I’m a photographer myself, I am excited to see that there is a world-class international festival dedicated to celebrating the medium here in Sharjah. After hearing about it I registered, and here I am today! I am blown away by the detailed efforts put into the exhibitions; the works on display are truly beautiful. I'm glad I decided to visit.” 

In addition to these exhibitions that span across genres of wildlife, portraiture, street, landscape, space, fine arts, and several others, the festival also features a robust programme agenda, including talks by leading photographers, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops for photographers of all skill levels. These events have been well-received by attendees thus far, who have hailed Xposure 2023 for its commitment to educating and inspiring the next generation of photographers and visual storytellers.
