Kuwait Hosp: 939 surgeries, 15040 patients in 1st half of 2022

Sharjah24: Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah performed 939 surgeries during the first half of this year, compared to 573 operations for the same period in 2021, and received 15,040 patients, compared to 10,992 thousand patients in the first half of 2021.
Dr. Issa Al Moallimi, Assistant Director of Medical Affairs at Kuwait Hospital, indicated that the latest treatment technologies and health services that the Emirates Health Services (EHS) has provided to the hospital had raised the percentage of people willing to receive medical services, especially surgical operations, due to the accuracy of diagnosis, speed of performance, reducing the patient's stay in the hospital.

He stressed EHS's keenness to provide the latest technologies, health services, and training courses to the medical and technical staff.

Furthermore, the Director of Kuwait Hospital, Afra Salem, indicated that the use of statistical indications to follow up and develop health services is a requirement that keeps pace with the rapid developments in medicine, explaining that the hospital has recently witnessed an increase in the number of surgeries, which is a positive indicator of recovery from the pandemic, as well as a noticeable increase in the number of visitors to the psychiatry clinic in the first half of 2022, which recorded 3,419 patients, compared to 2,619 patients in the first half of last year.
