653 surgical operations, 45,942 patients at KH during 2021

Sharjah 24: Kuwait Hospital (KH) in Sharjah performed 653 surgeries, and received about 45,942 patients during the year 2021, with a significant increase in the number of surgeries and the number of visitors to the hospital compared to 2020.
It worth noting also that the Accident and Emergency Department received 24,442 patients compared to 21,726 in the year 2020.

The hospital’s statistics revealed an increase in the number of visitors to the outpatient clinics during the year 2021, receiving 18,160 patients, compared to 17,475 in the year 2020.

The percentage of patients satisfaction in the Accident and Emergency Department reached 92% compared to 81% in the year 2020, plus the increase in the satisfaction rate of inpatients in 2021 to 90%, compared to 82% in 2020.

Amna Karam, Director of Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, stated that the hospital is witnessing a remarkable increase in the number of surgeries it performs, some of which are considered rare, along with a general increase in the number of visitors to the outpatient clinics and the emergency department, due to the development of work efficiency in the hospital.

She maintained that this is in line with the directions of Emirates Health Services, and its objectives in developing health services provided to patients and meeting their needs by providing the highest standards of global health services, and the latest medical devices and equipment for the emergency department, intensive care and other departments.
