Sharjah24: Prof. Dr. Awwad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University (AQU), inaugurated the activities of the Student Media Day, accompanied by Prof. Hisham Abbas, Dean of the College of Communication, in the presence of members of the Advisory Council of the College of Communication headed by His Excellency Dr. Khaled Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of the Council and Chairman of Sharjah Media City.

The graduation projects demonstrated their media capabilities in the areas of awareness campaigns, the establishment of media companies and digital media platforms. The day concluded with honouring the attendance of dignitaries and media organisations.

Prof. Dr. Awwad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, said that organising the Student Media Day at the College of Communication highlights the keenness of Al Qasimia University to take care of its students from the College of Communication and to highlight the output of their media work after a comprehensive study received by the students and their enrollment in the classrooms, digital laboratories, and radio and television studios in conjunction with the opening of the new College of Communication building .

Al Khalaf indicated that the graduation projects varied between digital media topics, awareness campaigns, volunteering, designing news websites, as well as producing a number of documentaries and television programs, reflecting the students' ability to join the labor market to contribute to development and creativity in their countries.
