Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, His Excellency Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, handed the graduation certificates to the third batch of university students for the spring semester of the academic year 2021/2022, in the presence of members of the University’s Board of Trustees, the University President and the Deans of Colleges.

Graduation included 218 students of different nationalities around the world, in its five colleges, namely the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Economics and Administration, the College of Communication and the College of the Holy Qur’an.

His Excellency Prof. Awwad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, delivered a speech extending greetings to His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for graduating a new batch of Al Qasimia University graduates.

Al Khalaf said that Al Qasimia University includes creative elite of teachers, administrators and students, and it has become a dream for everyone who admires knowledge. He added that this academic year, the number of students enrolled in Al Qasimia University increased, whereas the number of nationalities in this semester reached 103 nationalities. 
Al Khalaf confirmed that the quality of student activities and scientific participation of students and professors has also increased and exceeded the local numbers, indicating the university's keenness during this academic year to activate scientific research and scientific publishing. 

Al Khalaf stated that Al Qasimia University participated for the first time in the 40th Sharjah International Book Fair with many books and publications that see the light for the first time and the issuance of two international refereed scientific journals and an index that includes data of the original manuscripts in which the House of Islamic Manuscripts abounds at Al Qasimia University.

His Excellency Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, affirmed in his speech that Al Qasimia University is proceeding at a steady pace according to the vision of its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah whereas its pillars are the Holy Qur’an and the Arabic language, and works to achieve its mission attracting distinguished people from all over the world, providing them with a competitive level of education that highlights Islamic and human values, and prepares them to actively contribute to the development of their societies and actively contribute to the global community.

Al Tarifi pointed out that the university expanded in its structure and in the number of nationalities of students, according to a scientific strategic plan approved by the university’s board of trustees, with its quest to expand the number of its academic programmes in line with its mission.

Al Tarifi congratulated the graduates and their parents and urged them to reap the fruits of their success with what they learned contributing to building their societies, stressing that Al Qasimia University will keep the line of communication with them, as it is keen to follow up and monitor graduates success through the University’s Alumni Office.
