Sharjah Taekwondo wins its sixth President Cup

Sharjah24: A total of 111 male and female combat sports and self-defence clubs competed in the Sharjah Club's sports hall event, where Sharjah Club won the President's Cup in the men's category for the sixth time in a row. Sharjah Taekwondo Club received 28 medals, half of which were gold and half of which were silver.
The youth division won second place and silver medals. In women's sports, Sharjah Club's young female players won the first cup in club history, while the women's category took second place and silver medals.

Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler's Office, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Club, Eng. Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri, the Sharjah Sports Council's sports expert, members of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, and members of the Individual Games Department all attended the championship and the crowning of the winners.

"We are proud of Sharjah Taekwondo's success, under the supervision of the board of directors, which continues on the path outlined by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for individual games," Al Midfa said. The club has a group of recognized players who have shown their skill and worth in competitions. The club is excited to represent the UAE in international games.

Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri congratulated His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, on the victory and commended the club's achievement.
