Sharjah24: Sharjah Club won the title of His Highness the President of UAE for Handball for the ninth time in its history.

The handball team of Sharjah Club won the Cup of His Highness the President of UAE, after beating Al-Ahly youth 24-27 during the meeting that was held at Rashid bin Hamdan Hall in Al-Nasr Club.

Sharjah had qualified for the final match after beating Al-Jazira by 23-30 in the semi-finals, while Al-Ahly youth qualified after beating Al-Wasl 25-31

The winning team was crowned by Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the General Sports Authority; Engineer Azza bint Sulaiman, Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the National Olympic Committee; Issa Hilal, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, and Ali Omar Al Balushi, Director of the Sports Development Department at the Dubai Sports Council; Nabil Ashour, Chairman of the Hand Federation; Abdul Salam Rabie, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Handball Federation; Nasser Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Federation; Daoud Malih, Head of the Competitions Committee, and members of the Board of Directors of the Handball Federation, Faisal Al Tawash, Saud Saleh and His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club Board of Directors.
