Sharjah 24: The Department of Team Games at Sharjah Sports Club announced the establishment of the second edition of the annual handball championship, which bears the name of the late Hamad Abu Shabs, the former administrator of handball at Sharjah Club.

The championship will last for three days, from 11 to 13 May, with the participation of all age groups, divided into groups according to age. Team games management cadres, including administrators, coaches, and supporting services, will supervise it.

It is noteworthy that the organisation of the second edition for the second year in a row for this championship comes in memory of Hamad Abu Shabas.

The championship also aims to exchange players and experiences through competition between different groups, as Sharjah Handball Club concluded the 2021-2022 sports season by winning all possible titles with a historical record.
