Sharjah Government Institutions Football Championship kicks off

Sharjah 24: The opening of the twenty-third football championship for bodies, institutions and government departments kicked off with strong matches organised by the Sharjah Government Employees Club in cooperation with Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled and under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council, with the participation of 12 teams representing government departments and institutions in Sharjah.
The opening match was attended by Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Government Employees Club, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Mualla, Chairman of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, Counselor Hamid Ali Al Abbar, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, and Ahmed Salem Al Mazloum, Executive Director Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, members of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Employees Club, Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, and representatives of government departments participating in the tournament.
 
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, praised the efforts of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club in organising such a tournament and the great success achieved with the participation of this number of teams, noting that the Sharjah Government Employees Club is a civilised destination for the smiling emirate because of its high-end goals of spreading sports in all sectors and helps break the daily routine of workers, which contributes to increasing productivity and excellence.

Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, confirmed that the activities organised by the Sharjah Employees Club, including football competitions, come from the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the generous follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, which aims to provide services to all Sharjah government employees.
