Sharjah 24: Al Qasimi Publications (AQP) published the latest historical research book entitled "The History of Al Ya'ariba in Oman (1623-1747 A.D.).”

The new publication comes in a series of books written by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as part of His Highness’s ongoing research to rewrite the history of the Arabian Gulf region.

It provides an accurate and scientific perspective that gives the reader a conscious and insightful vision of the achievement accomplished in the history of the ancient Arab and Islamic nation.

His Highness said in the introduction that the book talks about a people who rose in circumstances in which the Portuguese controlled all Omani seas and ports, and that people were able to fight a state that was strongest and richest in the region.

His Highness added that the extracted the material of the book was acquired from manuscripts and documents in over forty years to write the history of the Arabian Gulf region and its surroundings and put it in an encyclopedia in six parts. The history of Al Ya'ariba came in the third part.
