Sharjah24: "Sharjah 24" explores the treasures of the Islamic Manuscripts House at Al Qasimia University, which were gifted by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to the House, and their number exceeds 1,500 manuscripts. In 11 episodes, shown on Mondays and Thursdays of every week.
Said ElMaadawy, Director of the House at Al Qasimia University, explains that the Arabic script in which the Arabic and Islamic manuscripts were written developed since the beginning of the codification of the Noble Qur’an during the era of our master Uthman, , with the old Hijazi script that was written by the people of Mecca and Al Medina, and then developed in the Umayyad state then the Uthman.

ElMaadawy pointed out that the old script was written without points or settings, indicating that its famous grammatical position was Abu Al-Aswad Al-Du’ali.

He adds that the last one also developed, as scribes used to manually dictate the manufacture of inks and papers. At first, it was only black, and then red, green, and blue were added, in addition to the gold water that adorned many of the Qur’an.
