Sharjah24: In conjunction with the happy Eid Al Adha, the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) announces the launch of the "Joy of Eid" initiative, which is organised by the Department, for the 8th year in a row, in order to provide Eid Al Adha gifts for children and bring joy to their hearts.

Commenting on this, Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion at the SSSD said that the contributions were received virtually in line with the commitment to the precautionary measures in the country, contributing in bringing joy to the hearts of the children by buying gifts to the beneficiaries.

Al Hammadi explained that the initiative targets approximately 2,400 children between the ages of 0-18 years, at the emirate level, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

She stressed that "The Joy of Eid" is one of a series of community projects that the SSSD implements throughout the year within the framework of its social responsibility, contributing to ensure the happiness of individuals, in order to enhance the principles of compassion and communication between members of society to advance social work.

The Department of Social Services called on all institutions and individuals to contribute to the support of the "Joy of Eid" initiative, stressing that the Department has provided various means to receives the contributions remotely, including providing the website https://sssd.shj.ae/ community-initiative/1, which includes various means for depositing the contributions via text messages to "Etisalat" or "du". The Department also provided a hotline to communicate and receive inquiries through the number 0568537304.

Participation in supporting the initiative is through the Department's bank account, AE550410000011200248005, and the department also provides the facility to contribute five dirhams by sending the word "Eid" to the number 4212, and to contribute 50 dirhams to the number 5144, and to contribute with 200 dirhams to the number 5145.
