Sharjah24: As part of its societal and awareness-raising role, the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) at its headquarters in the city of Khorfakkan, on Monday, organised a blood donation campaign, amid a remarkable interaction from government department employees and all segments of society.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Maryam Nasser Al Suwaidi, Head of the Community Service Department, pointed out that the campaign was organised in cooperation with Khorfakkan Hospital, with the aim of providing the necessary supply to the hospital's blood bank in line with the patients’ needs.

She explained that the department building hosted the vehicle designated for the blood donation process, and the hospital provided a team of doctors, nurses and technicians to supervise and serve the donors.

Al-Suwaidi indicated that all precautionary and preventive measures were taken during the period designated for donation, while carrying out all necessary proactive checks for donors to ensure their safety and readiness to donate.
