Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Civil Aviation Department (SCAD) distributed, on Wednesday, 500 Iftar meals to road users and passers-by before the Maghrib prayer, near Matajer Al Juraina in Sharjah.

This initiative, which the department carries out annually, was organised in cooperation with Sharjah Police, within the framework of social responsibility and consolidating the values of the blessed month of Ramadan.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Isam Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department, said: “This initiative reflects the commitment of the Sharjah Civil Aviation Department to promoting the values of giving, whose importance increases during the holy month, and to promoting the culture of social responsibility. There is no doubt that such charitable and community initiatives are important in instilling noble values in people such as tolerance, solidarity, encouraging volunteer work, and giving, which are rooted in Emirati traditions.”

The holy month is one of the important and special seasons every year, in which it enhances generosity and good treatment towards everyone around us, while ensuring a positive impact on society.
