Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs has announced that 700 Quran memorisation sessions are being held in mosques across the emirate during the holy month, attracting 29,000 learners from diverse age groups.
These individuals are committed to memorising and studying the Quran, as well as mastering the rules of Tajweed, in collaboration with the Sharjah Quran and Sunnah Foundation and the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

As part of its Ramadan initiatives, the department has designated 20 mosques in various suburbs of the emirate for Quran recitation correction sessions, along with 10 mosques for Quranic interpretation. These sessions aim to clarify the meanings of Quranic vocabulary and explain its rulings, nuances, and directives.

Skilled imams specialising in Quranic sciences lead these sessions. Moreover, the department conducts "Electronic Quran Reading" sessions via the Zoom platform, offering virtual lessons to the public on correcting recitations in an easy way.

Emphasising its ongoing commitment, the department strives to expand these sessions to other areas of the emirate. Mosque imams affiliated with the department are tasked with conducting memorisation sessions for all segments of society, furthering the accessibility of Quranic education.
