Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Club (SSC)'s Youth Handball Division recently conducted two separate meetings over the course of two days, Tuesday and Wednesday.
These meetings focused on reviewing monthly training plans and reports for the coaching and administrative teams, covering all age groups from the youth category to the youth team.

Additionally, they examined a proposed plan for the introduction of a specialised "Scientific Methodology" aimed at enhancing the training and development approaches for players within the Sharjah Handball Academy. This academy consists of five teams in the youth category.

These meetings were led by Youssef Ahmed, overseeing the handball divisions at the club, and Ali Al Marzouqi, managing the men's team. Coaches and administrators of the handball teams were also present.

During the meetings, participants received in-depth explanations from the sports team coaches regarding the implementation of weekly and monthly training modules and how players were responding to individual skill development programmes and physical conditioning. Notably, the youth team achieved the top spot in the league table with three consecutive victories, mirroring the success of the junior teams.

Furthermore, participants reviewed the final touches being made to a groundbreaking initiative, which involves creating a comprehensive scientific training and recreational programme. This initiative represents a pioneering step taken by the Sharjah Handball sector at the national level and delves into the operational methods at the Sharjah Handball Academy. The initiative is outlined in the form of a handbook, effectively serving as a constitution that encompasses all the details concerning how to nurture young players in terms of their technical, physical, mental, and behavioural development.
