Sharjah24: The 23rd session of the Islamic Forum in Sharjah, titled "As-Sab' Al-Mathani" (the seven oft-repeated Ayat), has begun under the patronage and direction of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Activities for the session run from June 10th to June 22nd at the Al-Maghfirah Mosque.

During the first week of the 23rd session of the forum, there will be four religious lectures on "Surah Al-Fatihah," and during the second week, there will be another four.

The event will feature a presentation on "Tafsir" (Quran interpretation) by Dr Ali Abdulaziz Syur, a professor of Tafsir and Quranic Studies at Dubai's College of Imam Malik for Sharia and Law.

The University of Sharjah's Professor of Hadith and Related Studies, Dr Abdul Sami Muhammad Al Anis, will also speak on the topic of Hadith (prophetic traditions).

The life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be the subject of an upcoming lecture by Dr Mustafa Akkli, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Mohamed bin Zayed University for the Humanities.

Dr Hafiz Abdul Rahman Babiker, a professor of Fiqh, will be speaking on Islamic jurisprudence (also known as "Fiqh") as part of the event. The Islamic Forum in the Emirate of Sharjah is putting on this session as part of its larger mission to disseminate Islamic culture, increase locals' level of education, and equip them with the intellectual fortitude to meet the challenges of our age.
