Sharjah 24: Within the framework of the Sharjah Islamic Foundation's efforts to promote Islamic culture in the emirate, the Islamic Forum hosted a Round Table Forum Wednesday.

As part of the agenda of cultural and scholarly programmes to consolidate university theses, the scholarly round table project discusses the most prominent academic theses and scientific research in various Sharia disciplines and Islamic studies. This is carried out with the objective of providing researchers and scholars with a solid knowledge of the ideas underlying academic research.

The forum featured a dissertation presentation by Dr. Sheikha Ahmed Al-Marashidah, "Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, University of Khorfakkan," titled "The rule of warding off evil takes precedence over bringing interests and its contemporary applications in the field of medicine."

The round table forum was moderated by Omar Al-Mansoori, a senior researcher in the Studies and Publishing Department.
