SGMB presents day of knowledge to GCN’s members

Sharjah24: The Government Communication Department at the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) organized the monthly meeting for members of the "Government Communication Network (GCN) working in various government departments and institutions in the emirate.
The members of the network got acquainted with the center of SGMB , which is located in Khorfakkan, and were briefed on the center's innovative strategy in uniting government contacts and highlighting the unified identity. The center gave the members an applied presentation of mechanisms to facilitate public communication with government departments and agencies, highlighting the strategy and steps for establishing a modern electronic database and underscoring the  importance of this in achieving quality and continuous development of services and ensuring speed of response to customer inquiries through a qualified and specialized team of national cadres in the field of customer service. 

The center was also keen to clarify its role by highlighting the events, activities in the emirate , as it is the bridge and approved communication between government departments and organizing agencies on the one hand and the public on the other hand. The center gave the members of the network an opportunity to learn about its advanced communication methods in promoting tourism in the Emirate of Sharjah, ways to attract visitors and facilitate their knowledge of the sites of landmarks and the most prominent festivals, events and activities.

Huda Al Dah, Director of the Government Communication Department at SGMB, confirmed that this meeting of the government communication network at the Sharjah Communication Center aimed at developing the capabilities of members in the field of effective communication with the public and ways to provide the necessary information to them in the fastest time and with the least effort by employing the latest technologies.

Hoda Al Dahh stated that the members visited the most prominent natural and heritage landmarks, and enjoyed the trip as the tour carried a presentation of the landmarks and their most important features. 

The tour of the network members included a visit to the Khorfakkan Amphitheater, the architectural masterpiece of a Roman character mixed with designs and the panoramic waterfalls. They enjoyed visiting the Rafisah Dam, the ancient Rabbi tower and its mountain path, and the ancient market.
