Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), today received Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who is on a working visit to the UAE.

During the meeting, which took place in Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi and attended by several Sheikhas and female leaders, Sheikha Fatima welcomed Narbaeva and wished her a good stay in the UAE, and exchanged with her friendly conversation, underscoring the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Uzbekistan.

The two sides discussed opportunities for advancing cooperation between Emirati organisations concerned with women, children and family affairs and their Uzbek counterparts.

They also touched on the achievements of women in the UAE and the opportunities that enabled them to become a major partner in advancing society at various levels.

The Chairperson of the Uzbek Senate praised the role of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in supporting and empowering women, as well as the importance of the qualitative initiatives launched by Her Highness, lauding the achievements of the UAE in the field of empowering women and enhancing their role and rights.

She also expressed her thanks and appreciation to Sheikha Fatima for the warm reception and hospitality that she and the accompanying delegation received during her visit.
