Sharjah 24 – WAM: Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), received Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan.

During the meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi, Sheikha Fatima welcomed Queen Rania and wished her a good stay in the UAE.

During the meeting, which was attended by several of Sheikhas and female leaders, Sheikha Fatima and Queen Rania exchanged friendly conversation, underscoring the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Jordan.

They also discussed opportunities for advancing the cooperation between Emirati organisations concerned with women, children and family affairs and their Jordanian counterparts.

Sheikha Fatima then held a luncheon in honour of Queen Rania, which was attended by a number of Sheikhas and female officials.
