Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Emiri Decree No. (4) of 2023 on the formation of Suhaila Suburb Council in Kalba .

The decree named the following members for Suhaila Suburb Council : 

1. Ahmed Khalifa Saeed Al Naqbi.
2. Jassim Muhammad Obaid Al Shehhi.
3. Rashid Saeed Obaid bin Fresh Al Kindi.
4. Salem Khalifa Salem Al Dahmani.
5. Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ayyaf Al Washahi.
6. Saleh Ali Muhammad Jassim Al Balushi.
7. Issa Murad Muhammad Darwish.

The council chooses a chairman and a vice at its first meeting from among its members by either board agreement or direct secret ballot. The vice-chairman becomes acting chairman in the event of the chairman’s absence or vacant position. The executive regulations of the suburbs councils shall determine the duration of their occupation of the position.

The membership term of the council is four years, starting from the date of establishment. The council continues its work upon the end of its term until establishing a new one. Those whose membership term has ended may be re-appointed.
