SEDD strengthens communication with industrial sector

Sharjah24 - WAM: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has carried out a number of promotional field visits to a number of industrial facilities in the Emirate of Sharjah.
These visits aimed at enhancing permanent communication with the industrial sector and the business community, inspecting the workflow in factories and their production and export programs, as well as enhancing direct communication between the Department and owners of industrial establishments. The SEDD delegation sought to be familiar with the aspirations of the owners of industrial establishments and the most important needs and challenges they face for the sustainability and development of the industrial sector and its activities.

The delegation visited Al Bayader Modern Industries LLC, Al Halabi Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment, Metal Solution Industries LLC, and S.K.M Air Conditioning LLC. The delegation looked into the workflow of the factories, their production and export programs, as well as their approved marketing and promotion plans to join the regional markets. Also, the delegation reviewed the mechanism of factory management and the progress of approved production lines that are supported by high-quality technical mechanisms, and also discussed a number of topics related to the reality of the industrial sector. During the visits, the most important needs of the industrial sector in Sharjah were discussed.

Commenting on that, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, expressed the Department's appreciation for the efforts of industrial establishments in Sharjah and their role in leaving a clear impact on the industries that characterise the Emirate regionally and locally. He pointed out that SEDD visits to industrial facilities in the emirate are part of its endeavour to enhance permanent and continuous communication with the local business community. Also, he clarified that these visits help to get familiar with the reality of the economic sectors in general and the industrial sector in particular. Such thing is done through exchanging views and visuals and working together to overcome any challenges that may hinder the growth and prosperity of the industrial establishments' business, as well as examining the level of quality of services provided to them.

Likewise, Al Suwaidi stressed that the Department intensified its field visits to identify the most important needs and challenges facing the business community and to ensure that they are addressed, in addition to enhancing the elements of success for the owners of factories and establishments. This contributes to the sustainability and development of companies and factories, and thus the development of the industrial sector in Sharjah by continuing to carry out such frequent field visits. Therefore, it would enhance the strategic partnership with the private sector and touch their needs, providing an ideal business environment in the emirate and attracting more investments in the industrial sector.

For her part, Maryam Nasser Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Industrial Affairs Department at SEDD, said that the services provided by the Department to industrial facilities and factory owners provide a fast and safe work environment and increase the sustainability of business and activities, and is keen to provide advice and technical support for these factories. This is done to enhance the quality of its products and to work on studying all the challenges and difficulties it faces in order to come up with results, recommendations and supportive decisions that enhance these industrial investments in Sharjah.

Likely, she affirmed the Department's concerns to support the plans of companies and establishments operating in the emirate globally, and to support the companies in exporting their products to promising markets and providing facilities and services that enhance the presence of industrial companies in various countries of the world.

The owners of factories and industrial establishments valued the visit of SEDD delegation. They also emphasised the continuous work between the two sides to providing a benefit to the industrial sector in Sharjah, and to support the efforts of the emirate’s government aimed at activating the role of the private sector to be a strategic partner in achieving sustainable economic development in Sharjah.
