Sharjah24: The Economic Development Department of Sharjah (SEDD) has confirmed its attendance at this year's 24th annual National Career Exhibition. The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the event, which was graced by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Over a hundred prestigious educational and intellectual institutions from across the world and right here in the UAE were present at the show, along with several public and private sector organisations.

Participating in SEDD shows that the organisation is committed to the Sharjah government's long-term vision and strategic goals, which are aimed at improving performance, boosting quality, and creating a culture of excellence through the training and employment of qualified nationals.
 
SEDD gives a lot of consideration to attending this expo because of the many chances it presents for networking and making connections between businesses and those looking for work. Further, the government's attempts to recruit young Emiratis and raise Emiratisation rates in the public and private sectors are supported by events like these exhibitions.
 
In response, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEDD, noted that the Department is always looking for ways to inspire talented young national cadres to pursue careers in growing industries. The organisation seeks to recruit professionals whose experience and knowledge will aid in the development, execution, and completion of its many programmes, initiatives, and projects, particularly those relating to the economy.

Al Suwaidi said that SEDD is working to increase its Emiratisation rates and praised the Department's Emiratisation strategy as one of the most effective means of doing so across all of the Department's many fields of operation.

He noted that over the past several years, SEDD has seen a rise in Emiratisation across all occupational categories. On the other hand, as Abdullah Al Mahmoud, SEDD's Director of Support Services, demonstrated, the Department has confirmed that it offers exciting opportunities for residents from a wide range of specialties. Because of this, they are more likely to pursue jobs in fast-growing and dynamic areas of the economy, and national cadres are continually being developed and trained to become more distinctive and attuned to the needs of the labour market across all sectors.
 

According to Al Mahmoud, these fairs provide a "broad umbrella" under which job-seekers and various government entities and private sectors can get an up-close look at the employment demands of the United Arab Emirates and an education in the specific qualifications needed for a variety of different occupations.
