Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council will organise AL Hefaiyah Padel Tournament in the Padel Shot Stadiums in Kalba on Friday and Saturday 28 and 29 October, in cooperation with the Padel Shot and Al Qudra Sports Services Company, as part of a plan to spread the game at the emirate level.

The sporting event targets the participation of 32 teams, each team consisting of two people above 16 years, to play in the third level. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be given for the winners of the first three places, in addition to financial prizes of 10,000 dirhams for the champion, 6,000 dirhams for the runner-up, and 2,000 dirhams for the winner of the third place.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, has highlighted the importance of spreading the Padel tennis game throughout the emirate, as part of the Council’s strategy to provide all modern games and sports that attract young people, in line with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Shedding light on Kalba’s distinguished location and its pleasant atmosphere, His Excellency Al Hazami expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Saqr bin Haitham Al Qasimi for sponsoring the tournament, contributing to achieving the Council’s goals in spreading this kind of sports. He called on fans of padel to participate in the tournament, stressing that the council will provide all guarantees for its success.
