Uganda and "SCCI" boost cooperation and private sector growth

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held the "UAE-Uganda Business Forum" in honour of a high-level delegation from the Republic of Uganda's visit to the Emirate of Sharjah. At the forum, they talked about how to strengthen ties between the two countries and how the chamber and embassy can help.
At the forum were Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the UAE, and a number of chamber officials and representatives of the local and Ugandan business communities in a variety of industrial and commercial sectors.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais greeted the Ugandan delegation, noting that the UAE and the Emirate of Sharjah are among Uganda's most significant strategic allies in Africa, and that the relations between the two countries are longstanding and continue to grow in many ways thanks to the support of the governments and peoples of both nations. He also noted that business activities between the two nations. increased by 500% to reach $2 billion by 2022.

Then, on behalf of Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni, Ambassador Zaki Wanumi Kebede extended a cordial welcome to the UAE's government and people. He spoke highly of the close ties that exist between the United Arab Emirates and Uganda, as well as the burgeoning economic collaboration between the two nations.
The two sides discussed the attractiveness of each nation for potential investors and businessmen.
