SEWA resumes maintaining distribution boxes in Sharjah

Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) organised a campaign to maintain electricity distribution boxes in residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural facilities to ensure their compliance with safety regulations.
355 sites were maintained in various areas of Sharjah during the first half of 2022.

Ismail Ibrahim Al Hosani, Head of the Distribution Services Department at SEWA, confirmed the continuity of the Authority's distribution boxes maintenance campaign, which targets all facilities in Sharjah to ensure the safety of the conductors and replace them with new ones if needed, avoiding any critical issues in any circumstances which ensure the safety of Sharjah residents.

Al Hosani stated, during an exclusive interview with "Sharjah 24", that the lack of maintenance of the electrical boxes and leaving the cables exposed will affect the consumer in the event of an electrical short, which might cause a fire in the facility, as well as in the event of random connecting that may harm the electrical conductivity in the area.
