Sharjah24: Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, stated that the municipality is constantly seeking to increase the green areas in the city, in addition to developing the infrastructure of the irrigation systems, and rehabilitating some places that needed replantation and replacement of some trees affected by natural casues winds, and the increase in the areas of seasonal flowers, as the total areas covered from the beginning of January until the end of May 2022 amounted to about 20,000 square meters.

He added that the municipality is keen to implement and develop various agricultural projects in the virtuous city, translating the wise visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in increasing the green area and achieving environmental sustainability in all cities of Sharjah. 

Al Yahyai noted that the municipality has an annual plan for agricultural projects, through which the places that need cultivation are identified, and the types of plants are picked accordingly.
