SEWA, DSCD discuss activating cooperation and data exchange

Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) discussed with a delegation from the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah (DSCD), ways of cooperation and coordination to develop statistical work related to economic activities and the local product of the Emirate of Sharjah and measurement indicators through integrated statistical data on employees, income level and economic activities in the Emirate of Sharjah.
His Excellency Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWA, and Abdullah Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Authority, received a delegation from DSCD, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of DSCD, and included Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department.

His Excellency Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWA, stressed the authority's keenness to activate cooperation with the Department of Statistics and Community Development and to provide all the necessary capabilities to support and enhance statistical work and rely on specific measurement indicators and a database to monitor growth and development in business and support and develop institutional performance.

He valued the role of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in providing statistical data in various sectors, designing and developing means of collecting information that contribute to the development of economic activities, community service and continuing to advance the future of future generations, in implementation of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Union and Ruler of Sharjah .

Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of DSCD, reviewed the foundations and criteria of the economic survey and the importance of the participation of the SEWA as one of the most important economic entities in the emirate and its influential role in all other activities.
