Sharjah24 – AFP: The Ibn Sina Hospital, run by the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) in Idlib city, receives an influx of children as sub-zero temperatures continue to rock rebel-held northwestern Syria, where a string of winter storms have destroyed the tents of hundreds of displaced families.
Commenting on this, Mustapha Qatrib, pediatric at Ibn Sina Hospital said, "Sickness rates are higher than previous years due to sub-zero temperatures and snow fall given that there are displacement camps around the Idlib region. The hospital is trying as much as its capacity allows it to welcome patients. We currently have around 100 - 120 admitted patients while we have around 70 or 75 beds. "
