Sharjah 24: Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is participating in the activities of the 53rd edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, which will be held from January 26 to February 6, at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC) in Cairo, under the slogan "Egypt's Identity.. Culture and the Question of the Future."

SBA pavilion hosted His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, in the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association, and His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, President of the Sharjah Book Authority at the Authority’s pavilion. 

The pavilion hosted a number of official figures and representatives of cultural institutions, and a group of senior Arab and foreign intellectuals, writers and innovators.

His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Madbouly received from His Excellency Ahmed Al Ameri a copy of the "Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language", the major linguistic project sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, which chronicles for the first time the Arabic vocabulary and the transformations of its use over the past 17 centuries .

His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Madbouly praised the cultural experience of the Emirate of Sharjah and its role in supporting the cultural movement in the region, and presenting the Arab culture to the whole world.

SBA shed light on aspects of the Emirate of Sharjah's cultural project and its contribution to developing the publishing movement and supporting knowledge production and translation, through its special pavilion, which provides a vivid image of the initiatives, projects and major events led by the Authority at the local and international levels.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Ameri said that SBA participation in the Cairo International Book Fair translates the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in promoting constructive and fruitful communication with counterpart cultural institutions in the region and the world.

 His Excellency Ahmed Al Ameri concluded that Egypt has a great history and deep cultural experience, having symbols of literature and art that Egypt presented to the Arab and international cultural scene.
