Sharjah 24: Her Excellency Maryam Khalifa Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, visited the Sharjah Institute for Heritage pavilion at the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair.

Her Excellency Maryam Khalifa Al Kaabi praised the role and efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah in different cultural, heritage and knowledge fields. 
Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) participates in Cairo International Book Fair until February 6, whereas the Institute constitutes a global platform and a window to highlight the contributions of the Emirati publishing industry.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of SIH, said that he is pleased with the Ambassador’s visit to the Institute's pavilion at the Cairo International Book Fair, whereas Her Excellency was briefed on the nature of the participation, which includes various events and activities. 

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam extended thanks to the UAE Embassy for the exerted efforts in providing all the facilities that enrich Emirati participations in different fora held in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam affirmed that SIH, with all its capabilities, relations and expertise, is fully prepared to participate with the UAE Embassy in Egypt in all the cultural activities and events that the Embassy aspires to organise and implement. His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam added that SIH participation in major cultural events at the Arab and international levels to contributes to the promotion of the cultural scene, in translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, patron of culture and knowledge.

During the visit, both parties agreed to provide the UAE embassy library in Cairo with the latest SIH publications, to enrich its contents with heritage books.
The participation of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in the Cairo International Book Fair includes organising different events and activities, including signature ceremonies of the Institute's Egyptian publications by elite writers and researchers.

Through its participation, SIH is working to organise a number of scientific and cultural meetings with several Egyptian institutions to enhance cooperation and partnership in the scientific and cultural fields and in the book and publishing industry, and to sign partnership and cooperation agreements, with Cairo University, Fayoum University, and others, in addition to conducting scientific visits to heritage institutions.
