SCA organises Arabic language celebration in Sharjah

Sharjah24: The Saudi Cultural Attache (SCA) organises the celebration of the Arabic Language International Day in cooperation with the Arabic Language Education Center for the Gulf States in Sharjah and the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah.
The celebration, entitled,"Arabic Language and Civilisational Communication", comes in accordance with the title adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) for this year, based on the role of language in enabling civilised communication.

The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States at its headquarters in the University City of Sharjah on Saturday evening, in celebration of the Arabic language.

The celebration, being attended by a number of dignitaries, included various cultural activities that highlight the significance of the Arabic Calligraphy. The attendees also toured the permanent Arabic language exhibition at the Educational Center, reviewing the most important publications from various fields of the Arabic language. During the event, the Kingdom's efforts in serving the Arabic language in several areas was also highlighted. 

After that, a visual film produced by the King Salman International Complex was shown about the journey of the Arabic language, underscoring the complex’s efforts in supporting the service of the Arabic language. He also thanked and appreciated the Sharjah Educational Center for cooperating in organising the celebration that was held at the center, extending thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his constant supports to the Arabic language, thanking the guests of the dialogue session and the organisers of this ceremony.
