Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University honoured the strategic partners from different governmental and media institutions that conducted field training for communication students for an entire semester.

The Honouring ceremomy was organised by the College of Communication at Al Qasimia University, in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Awad Hussain Al Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University, deans of faculties, and a large number of heads, directors and representatives of the bodies that provided field training for students.

His Excellency Prof. Awad Hussain Al Khalaf praised the efforts that contributed to training the College of Communication students, providing their professional expertise, which helped in acquiring students with basic practical skills to join the labour market.  His Excellency Prof. Awad Hussain Al Khalaf pointed that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah is keen to support and train University students to be skilled in their theoretical and practical specialisations. 

His Excellency Prof. Awad Hussain Al Khalaf praised the role of government and media institutions in receiving and training the students of the College of Communication, which contributed to strengthening the means of cooperation and strategic partnership between Al Qasimia University and various institutions.

Dr. Hisham Abbas, Dean of the College of Communication, indicated that the quality of training programmes reflects the excellence of the agencies that implemented the training and their keenness to provide students with media skills, whether radio, television or digital media, advertising, public relations and government communication to qualify graduates with efficiency and excellence.

At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency Prof. Awad Hussain Al Khalaf, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hisham Abbas, Dean of the College of Communication, honoured the bodies that contributed to the training of the College of Communication students, which included the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Sharjah Police General Command, Sharjah Government Media Bureau and Sharjah Media City (Shams), Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Gulf Press House, Public Relations and Media Department, Dubai Police, Public Relations Department, Al Wusta Radio from Al Zaid, Al Bayan newspaper, and Ajman Municipality, in addition to honouring the Services Department at Al Qasimia University.
