Sharjah24: Colonel Mona Sorour Marzouk, Deputy Director of Punitive and Correctional Institution at Sharjah Police General Command, received on Tuesday morning Amal Ahmed Al-Qatari, Director of the Health Insurance Department of the Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), and her accompanying delegation, in the presence of Lt. Colonel Abdullah Mahian, Head of the Inmates Affairs Department, and a number of specialised officers.

The visit discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two parties by providing health programmes and events targeting inmates and employees of the institution, in line with the objectives of the partnership aimed at spreading awareness, to enhance the quality of healthy life, in order to reach a conscious and educated society.

The visit included a healthy community initiative carried out by the authority, which consisted in providing good tests through the use of (50) blood sugar meters and blood pressure measurements for the institution’s male and female inmates, in line with the National Day celebrations.
