Sharjah24: Sheikha Nawar Al Qassimi, Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, explained that the Sharjah Film Platform is the institution’s annual festival for presenting and making films, taking place from 19 until November 27, in 3 areas including City Mirage Cinema, Sharjah Institute of Dramatic Art, and the flying saucer which hosts films for children.

Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi pointed out that the Foundation cooperated with Sharjah Media City "Shams" to offer a prize of AED 200,000 for the best cinematic script within our filmmaking programmes and to support directors and films in Arabic .

She added that this edition of the Sharjah Film Platform is witnessing cooperation with the Istanbul Museum of Contemporary Art to present several films by Turkish women directors, in addition to highlighting the films of Palestinian director Michel Khleifi.
