Sharjah24 – Reuters: The star-studded cast of "Eternals", including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Kit Harington, joined director Chloe Zhao on the red carpet in London on Wednesday (October 27) for a UK gala screening of the new Marvel movie.

Jolie brought five of her six children as her date to the event, chatting and laughing with them as they posed for photographers.

Zhao, winner of best director and best picture for "Nomadland" at the Oscars earlier this year, makes her superhero movie debut with "Eternals", Marvel Studios' latest comic book adaptation.

In addition to the Hollywood stars, the movie features one of the most diverse casts of any Marvel movie.

"Eternals" also features the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) first gay kiss as well as their first deaf character in Lauren Ridloff's Makkari.

In the film Gemma Chan stars as Sersi, one of the Eternals, a group of aliens who have lived on Earth and secretly guided humanity for 7,000 years without getting involved. However, the events of 'Avengers: Endgame' forces the secretive group to come out of the shadows.

"Eternals", which was delayed a year because of the pandemic, is released globally on November 5.
