Sharjah 24: On Wednesday, His Excellency, the Spanish ambassador to the UAE, Inigo de Palacio, addressed a press conference hosted by the Sharjah Book Authority at the "House of Wisdom." He also added in an exclusive interview with Sharjah 24 that "Spain was looking forward to attending the Sharjah International Book Fair following 2019, prior to the outbreak of the Covid 19 Pandemic, when Sharjah was the guest of honour in Madrid at the "Liber International Book Fair" (SIBF).

He noted that the Book Fair is an excellent opportunity to bring together publishers, authors, and anyone else involved in the realms of writing, creativity, and editing, and also to reconnect Spain with Sharjah, the Arab world, and the Middle East.

He stated that Spain will keep up with the growing interest of the masses in this new edition of the exhibition by focusing on writing television series scripts, as Spain has achieved great success with series, and Spanish series have gained a global viewership due to their enormous impact throughout the world.

He expressed gratitude to the Emirate of Sharjah for inviting Spain to be the guest of honour at this year's Sharjah International Book Fair.
