Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council honoured the Olympic champion Mohammed Al Qayed Al Hammadi, in recognition of his great achievements for obtaining silver and bronze medals in the Paralympic Games "Tokyo 2020".

Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sport Council, received Mohammed Al Qayed and presented him a souvenir for his achievements.

Issa Hilal Al Hazami stated during the ceremony that the Council is keen to honour all the champions who represent the UAE and Sharjah conscientiously. Al Qayed set a great  example of himself in commitment and determination and raised the UAE flag twice in the Paralympic Games, where only the elite athletes in the world participate in. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Executive Council.

In turn, Al Qayed expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, the SSC, and to Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped, and he promised to continue on this path of achievements.
