Sharjah24: ‘Your Safety Bus’ initiative is one of the initiatives of the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA), which aims to spread awareness about the concepts of occupational safety and health among various segments of society. The bus initiative, equipped with the latest technologies from display screens and appropriate sound systems, transfers these workshops to the headquarters of institutions and companies.

The SPSA’s initiative comes in line with the Authority’s visions and objectives, aiming to raise the awareness of the largest segment of society’s members about the occupational health and safety.

At the beginning of this year, the bus included the training of more than (650) trainees, as the bus provided various workshops specialised in occupational safety and health in various regions of the city of Sharjah and the central and eastern regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, being presented with three languages including, Arabic, English and Eurdo. 

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, praised the initiative of the safety bus of the Prevention and Safety Authority and its enhancement of prevention and safety measures among the various categories of employees in different work sites, contributing in achieving the highest rates of safety and security at work sites, as well as raising the awareness in the areas of prevention and safety.

He extended his thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority for their efforts and the distinguished initiative to consolidate the culture of prevention and safety in the workplace. He also thanked the initiative’s team for their efforts and communication with all government agencies and bodies.

His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Prevention and Safety Authority, has expressed the Authority’s keenness to spread the culture of prevention and safety by any means necessary, stressing that the bus initiative is one of the initiatives that target large segment of society that is difficult to leave their workplaces, with the aim of raising their awareness of the latest procedures and ways to deal with risks. He praised the cooperation between various institutions and companies in the context of spreading awareness about occupational safety and health guidelines.
